No. 2: Al Horford

Al Horford, the four-time All-Star, plays both ends of the court at a premium level, and he’s a high-character player with playoff experience.

Horford averaged 15.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per contest during the 2015-16 season. He knows his spots and finds his teammates on the court. The 6’10” center made 50 percent of his field-goal attempts and dished 3.2 assists per contest last year.

The 10th-year pro doesn’t give fans pizzazz or headlines to read about online or in the newspapers, but he fills the box score. Horford would easily become the second-best player on the Knicks’ roster.

He’s smaller in stature compared to the previous three candidates on this list, but he’s developed a three-point shot, which makes him viable in a small-ball lineup.

Without a doubt, the Knicks would have to offer a max deal to lure him away from the Atlanta Hawks into the Big Apple.
