Off Court Appeal
The NBA is becoming more and more a global product with every passing day. International players are becoming household names, and we are seeing more resources dumped into overseas players. With the game itself taking off, it is time for the players to cash in as well.
James wants to become a successful business man as much as he wants to dominate off the court. But, there is only so much he can succeed in the regard in Cleveland. No offense to Clevelanders, but Forest City or the Rock and Roll Capital of the World has nothing on the City That Never Sleeps.
The Big Apple is is as iconic as they come, as New York City as has much history in the entertainment and business industry as it has for sports. If James wants to become as successful a businessman as he is a basketball player, there are few places that could deliver on that as much as New York City can.

Carmelo Anthony has seen his off-the-court appeal skyrocket since coming to the Knicks from the Denver Nuggets. Anthony has seen his results on the court taper off, but off the court he has thrived. He has made numerous cameos in movies and television shows, also founding a North American Soccer League team, Puerto Rico FC.
Anthony and James could team up not only on the court, but off of it as well. They could combine to be a dynamic duo in more ways than one, as James’ off court appeal is already high; coming to New York City could put it into the stratosphere.
