The Titans are one of the few teams in the league that have enough cap space to take on Wilkerson’s contract and easily sign him to a long term deal after next season. Tennessee has the 5th most cap space in the league, with an estimated $23 million.

The Titans already have their leader on offense with Marcus Mariota, and by getting Wilkerson, it would provide leadership not just on defense, but throughout the whole team as Tennessee is a very young team. Tennessee is thin on corners besides McCourty and Perish Cox, but Wilkerson would easily be the Titans best player on that side of the ball and give Tennessee the elite player they need.

McCourty coming to the Jets would benefit both the organization and himself. The former Rutgers player is a New York native and would be closer to home. McCourty would be a great corner to pair with Darrelle Revis. McCourty even has more career total tackles than Revis with 358 in only 94 games, which is 31 games less than Revis has played.
