7. Danny Valencia

Yes, Valencia’s 31 years of age, but he doesn’t have a ton of mileage on his body, having only played 565 games in a seven-year career for six different clubs. Something must have finally clicked for the once upon a time mega prospect with the Minnesota Twins, because he’s found his offensive game with the Oakland A’s, batting .335 with 10 home runs and 24 RBI.

If you’re worried this is all a fluke, take comfort in knowing that Valencia was finally given the opportunity to play in over 100-games in 2015, his most since 2011 when he suited up for 154. He came through with the extra playing time, as he had a .290 batting average, 18 home runs, and 66 RBI.

An above average defensive player, Valencia can also spell you at second base and both corner outfield spots. The A’s love them some minor league players in any and all trades, so this shouldn’t hurt the lower levels of farm system too much.
