1. Yogi Berra

In a franchise that has many great players, arguably one of the most loved was Yogi Berra. Besides his fantastic personality, Berra is one of the best catchers to ever play the game and is the best catcher to ever wear pinstripes.

During his 18 seasons with the Yankees, Berra totaled a .285 batting average, 358 home runs, and 1,430 RBIs. Berra made the All-Star team 15 straight years and was able to win back-to-back MVP awards in 1954 and 1955. Berra just missed winning the award for the third time in a row in 1956, but he was edged out by his teammate Mickey Mantle.

With the Yankees, Berra was a frequent visitor to the World Series, as he played in the World Series 14 times. After winning the World Series five consecutive years, Berra would go on to total 10 championships as a player. In his postseason career, Berra totaled a .274 batting average, 12 home runs, and 39 RBIs in 75 games.

There will likely never be another player that comes close to winning the World Series 10 times, as Berra is one of the best winners in any sport. Berra has the most home runs, RBIs, and championships of any catcher with the Yankees, as he is the best catcher in the history of the franchise.
