3.) Week 5 at Pittsburgh Steelers

The state of Pennsylvania hasn’t been kind to the Jets through the years, as they have struggled historically against both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles on the road. In the last five games at Heinz Field, the Steelers have beaten the Jets four times with two of those wins coming in the playoffs. The last loss the Jets had in Pittsburgh was with an AFC Title on the line, which was a game that still hurts fans of the Jets.

Last season, the Steelers were poised for an extended run in the playoffs before they suffered a ton of injuries to key players, which included losing Antonio Brown in the AFC Wild Card Game to a concussion on a dirty hit in the playoffs. This season, the Steelers will be looking to stay healthy and accomplish what they set out to do last season. Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown are one of the best quarterback/wide receiver duos in the NFL, and they will be a huge test for the Jets’ defense.

Week 5 will be the third road game of the season for the Jets at that point as they will be heading to Pittsburgh after what will surely be a physical game at home against the Seattle Seahawks. The Steelers are another probable playoff team, which makes this another early season test for the Jets.
