The New York Jets have their 2016 schedule after it was released on Thursday night, and the schedule is not an easy one for Gang Green.

In 2015, the Jets had a rather easy schedule after a poor season in 2014, but with a 10-6 bounce back season also comes with a more difficult schedule. In 2016, the Jets will be playing six of their first nine games on the road to start the season. All of the Jets’ first six road games will be back-to-back on the road with a home game to break them up.

Luckily for the Jets, they only have to go out to the West Coast twice this season with games against the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers both being on the road. The Jets also get a bye week late in the season, which can be beneficial for players with nagging injuries, and with a game at home against the New England Patriots being in Week 12 on Sunday night football at home.

New York will start their season in an emotional game on September 11th against the Cincinnati Bengals at home as we will remember the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. With the 2016 schedule being a difficult one for the Jets, here are the five toughest games that they will have this season.
