Sidney Crosby

Crosby is coming into the postseason on quite a hot streak. He has recorded at least one point in eight games, recording five goals and three assists. Going back a little further, and the stats are even more impressive as he has a point in 19 of his last 20 games.

Over that span of 20 games, Crosby has tallied 11 goals and 18 assists, recording eight multi-point games. It could not have come at a better time for the Penguins, as Crosby really got his play going once fellow superstar Evgeni Malkin went down with an injury; the last game Malkin played was on March 11th.

Can Crosby get on track against the Rangers in the postseason though? Crosby has success against the Rangers in the regular season with 71 points in 55 games (25 goals, 46 assists), the same cannot be said about the postseason. In 17 games against the Rangers in the playoffs, Crosby has only 13 points (three goals, 10 assists).

The Penguins are favorites in this series, but having Crosby step his game up as he normally does in the postseason would be a big help. As the unquestioned star of the Penguins, Crosby is always a player to watch for when the Penguins are on the ice.
