Damon Harrison

In 2012, the Jets would sign defensive tackle, Damon Harrison, who would go on to become a key part of a dominant Jets’ defensive line. Harrison is not known as a pass rusher, but as the nose tackle for the Jets, he has been an immovable object at times.

Harrison appears to be a big priority for the Jets, and the feeling is mutual. In a recent interview on Sirius XM radio, Harrison stated his desire to return to the Jets.

“I just really want to be a part of something special and I think we should be able to get something done,” He said. “If not, I understand it’s a business and they’ll do what’s best for them on the business side, as will I.

“But all hopes point to me coming back here, which I definitely want to do.”

The Jets do have a window to negotiate with Harrison before he officially hits free agency, as they have until March 7th to negotiate exclusively with the nose tackle.

Harrison is looking to become one of the highest-paid defensive tackles in the NFL, and the man known as “Snacks” deserves it. Keeping the defensive line intact will be very important for the Jets this offseason, as they need to lock up Harrison.
