Second-Round: Hunter Henry

Despite having a great offensive season as a team last season, the Jets received zero production from the tight end position in 2015. The injury to second-year tight end, Jace Amaro, may not have had a noticeable impact on the team with the great play from Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall, but it certainly affected the Jets schemes last season.

Amaro will be back in 2016 for the Jets, but adding another tight end could help make the Jets’ offense even better. Hunter Henry of the Arkansas Razorbacks would be an excellent addition to the Jets’ offense as he would help improve the Jets’ running game immensely with his great run-blocking ability.

At 6’5”, 253lbs, Henry is a monster at tight end, and that size helped him be named the best tight end in the nation last season.

In 2015, Henry totaled 51 receptions, 739 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. Drafting Henry in the second-round would help the Jets blocking in 2016, and also, help add more versatility to their passing attack. Getting the best player at a position in the second-round is a steal, and if he is there for the Jets like in our mock draft, the Jets should swoop him up quickly.
