Eli Manning may not be playing in the Super Bowl this season, but he will be one of the biggest fans of the Denver Broncos on February 7th, as he roots for his big brother, Peyton Manning.

The Broncos were able to surprise many by defeating the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, as Peyton was able to play well enough to help the team get a win. It has not been a good season for Peyton mostly in 2015, as he totaled nine touchdown passes and 17 interceptions in the worst regular season of his career.

The awful regular season for Peyton has led many to believe that this is his final season in the NFL, but big brother hasn’t given Eli any insight on a possible retirement.

“He has not said anything to me about it,” Eli Manning said Wednesday to Steve Serby of the New York Post. “I don’t know if he knows himself or he’s thought about it.

“It’d be a good way to go out. But just because of that possibility, I hope that he can win this game, and if he decides to hang it up, he’ll go out on top.”

A second Super Bowl victory for Peyton would be an excellent way for one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time to go, as Peyton has looked like he should be hanging it up for most of the season.

The Broncos will have a very difficult task in the Super Bowl of trying to beat the Panthers, who racked up 15 wins in the regular season. One of those wins came against Eli and the Giants, but it was one of the closest games the Panthers had to play all season.

“If he has any questions for whatever reason, I’ll be happy to give him my thoughts on their scheme, on their players, that I’ve observed,” Eli said to Serby.

Peyton will surely listen to Eli when it comes to having success against the Panthers, as Eli totaled four touchdown passes in the Giants’ three-point loss.

Much of the talk when comparing the Manning’s has been about Eli’s success in the playoffs compared to Peyton, as Eli has won two Super Bowls compared to just one for Peyton.

“There’s no bragging rights,” Eli said to Serby. “One player can’t control the outcome of a whole season or a certain game.”

“There’s too much placed on rings and Super Bowl championships,” Eli said to Serby. “The quarterback is not the sole reason that you win a championship, it’s the team. I hope he can win, but [his] impact has already been made, and his legacy should not be affected by this one game.”

Eli is excited for Peyton after the difficult season he has had in 2015, as he wants his brother to win his second Super Bowl.

“I’m excited for him,” Eli said to Serby. “I know this has been an interesting year for him — new coach, the new offense, and trying to learn that, deal with an injury, having to sit out for seven weeks, never gone through that before, coming back as a backup, never done that before. … Rooting for him. Want the best for him.”

We don’t know yet whether or not Peyton will be playing his final game in the Super Bowl, but if he is, it has been a pleasure to watch No.18.
