Rough Night For AA

When Carmelo Anthony has been sidelined this season, the Knicks have been able to count on Arron Afflalo to pick up the slack. Tonight they tried to do the same, but Afflalo was unable to get anything going offensively.

It was a struggled all night for Afflalo shooting the ball, as he finished the game 6-of-21 for 17 points. He struggled to get loose from Dion Waiters throughout the evening, while also getting defended by Russell Westbrook. The Knicks went to Afflalo often down the stretch and he was just not able to get it done.

This shot attempt at the end of regulation going for the win from Afflalo pretty much sums up the kind of night it was for him offensively.

With Afflalo struggling so mightily, the Knicks just did not have enough down the stretch to overcome Anthony being sidelined. Afflalo has been in a rut his last five games, shooting only 37.5 percent from the field over that span of time. He will have to get things back on track to help the Knicks right the ship.
