Their 10-6 record in 2015 was much better than many anticipated for the Jets coming off of a 4-12 record, as moves made in the offseason really changed the culture of the Jets. Maccagnan making trades for Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall instantly upgraded the offense, and the two had instant chemistry.

Upgrades on the defensive side of the ball were the main focus of the Jets’ offseason last year, as the signings of Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie, and Buster Skrine were huge for the Jets to upgrade a secondary that was neglected by former GM John Idzik.

With the 2015 season over for the Jets, they will be looking to have another great offseason to help the team make the playoffs in 2016.

One of the first priorities of the offseason for Maccagnan will be to evaluate players that are under contract, who may not be in the team’s plans for the 2016 season. Maccagnan will also have to determine which of the pending free agents from the 2015 season that he will either want to keep or let walk away.

Here are five players who are either pending free agents or still under contract with the Jets, that could be playing elsewhere next season.
