The New York Knicks were able to handle business against the Milwaukee Bucks Sunday night, picking up an impressive 100-88 victory. The Knicks took control of the game in the second half, building their lead up to as many as 22 points. They allowed the Bucks to fight back a bit in the fourth quarter, but were able to hold them off for the 12-point victory.

With the victory tonight the Knicks were able to split the season series with the Bucks, as both teams won twice; once on the road once at home. The Knicks are beginning to really get things together and look like they will make some noise in the second half of the season. The Bucks on the other hand were an epitome of their season tonight; they flashed for stretches looking like a strong team but came up extremely flat at other times.

With the win the Knicks record now stands at 19-20 overall as they continue to inch closer to the .500 mark. They also improved their record to 10-8 at home, as they are starting to protect their home court no matter who comes into Madison Square Garden. They are now riding a three-game winning streak at home, picking up victories over the Bucks, Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons. They are winners in five of their last six games at Madison Square Garden as it is no longer a place opposing teams can just walk into thinking they will have an easy night.

There is still some work for the Knicks to do, but they are taking steps in the right direction to legitimize the team. The team is building solid chemistry and looks like one cohesive unit on the court as the rotation and player roles are set more than even just two weeks ago.

This was a big win for the Knicks as it finishes up a very impressive 3-1 week that includes victories over the Hawks, Heat and a tough one-point loss to the Spurs. They will now look to build upon that momentum with a couple of divisional games this upcoming week with a mini road trip as well.

Before we get to covering those games though, let’s take an in depth look at tonight’s victory over the Bucks. Check out our takeaways from the Knicks 100-88 win over the Bucks.
