Player Of The Game: Lance Thomas

The start of this game was rather sloppy, as both teams struggled to get their footing in the game. But, once the Knicks benched came into the game their fortunes began to change. A catalyst for that was Lance Thomas, who once again had a solid game off the bench.

Thomas was expected to be a spectator most nights when he was re-signed in the offseason, as the Knicks improved their roster from last season. But Thomas has played well and earned a spot in the rotation, and that continued tonight. Thomas played 23 minutes off the bench, scoring 14 points on 5-of-10 from the field. That was the high off the bench for the Knicks, as Thomas showed off his improved jump shot once again.

He also added seven rebounds and two assists with only one turnover, as Thomas had a very efficient game. He has carved out a role for himself on this team, as he is a versatile defender and is beginning to show a reliable jump shot.

Thomas is the quintessential glue guy, and will continue to have big nights like this for the Knicks throughout the season.
