The New York Knicks will get their three-game west coast trip started tonight when they pay their one and only visit of the season to the Utah Jazz. They will be looking to gain some momentum on this trip, as the Knicks have lost six of their last eight games.

They have played better on the road than at home all season, with a 5-5 record on the road compared to 5-7 at Madison Square Garden, so hopefully that continues at EnergySolutions Arena. It will not be an easy task though, as the Jazz might be 4-4 at home but have a tenacious young team that gets at it in front of their home fans. They have the undefeated Golden State Warriors all they could handle and arguably their biggest test of the season thus far.

More from Empire Writes Back

This is a matchup between similar styled teams, as the Knicks and Jazz both play at a slower pace relying more on their strong defense than offense. Both teams have average offenses most night, as the Knicks are still working out some of the kinks with so many new faces, and the Jazz lack a true go-to scorer in crunch time like the Knicks have in Carmelo Anthony.

It should make for a good game, as we will see which team runs the similar style better. The strengths of the Knicks will go head-to-head with the strength of the Jazz, so something will have to give.

Who will it be to come out on top Wednesday night? If the Knicks can accomplish some of these keys, they will have the inside track to the victory. Check out our keys to the game for the Knicks when they travel to take on the Jazz.
