Player Of The Game: Carmelo Anthony

Anthony looked like he was shaking some rust off against the lowly Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, but tonight he was locked in against the Nets. Anthony looked to have his legs underneath him and got things going offensively, as he scored in multiple ways throughout the game.

Anthony shot 9-of-18 overall, knocking down 5-of-8 from deep and 5-of-7 from the three-point line for a game-high 28 points. He also added seven rebounds, three assists and two steals to round out what was a very strong stat line overall.

Anthony was virtually unguardable tonight, as the Nets had no answer for him defensively, scoring with ease no matter who was on him. He ran the floor well, and was knocking down jumpers in catch-and-shoot chances instead of forcing things in isolation. He is fully capable of games like he had tonight, and we should see more as he continues getting healthier and gaining more trust in his teammates.
