The New York Knicks had a successful homestand, going 2-1, taking the final two from the New Orleans Pelicans and Charlotte Hornets after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now they will be taking their show on the road to take on the high flying Oklahoma City Thunder.
This is the start of a four-game road trip for the Knicks, which is the second longest road trip that they will have this season. It will be a continuance of the difficult schedule that the Knicks have had to start the season, as they have had difficulties against the Thunder in recent seasons.
The Knicks are 1-6 since the team moved to Oklahoma City, rarely even being competitive. Last season, the Knicks lost by 28 in Oklahoma City, but Carmelo Anthony was not in that game. The Knicks trialed 30-13 by the end of the first quarter, as they were blitzed right from the start and never recovered.

This is a different Knicks team this season though, as Jose Calderon is the only one of the 12 players that suited up for the meeting in Oklahoma City last season that is still on the team this season.
The Thunder will be coming into this game in a little bit of a lull, as Kevin Durant has missed the last four games with a sprained ankle. The Thunder have gone 2-2 in those games, being carried on the back of the phenomenal Russell Westbrook.
Will the Knicks be able to keep up with the breakneck pace that Westbrook plays at? With how he has played recently, he will more than likely get his, the Knicks can only hope to slow him down a little bit.
It will be one of the things to watch for when the Knicks and Thunder take the field tonight. Check out the rest of our keys to the game for the Knicks when they travel to Chesapeake Energy Arena to face off with the Thunder.
