Matchup Of The Game Recap

In our keys to the game, we highlighted a matchup between guards off the bench in Langston Galloway and Jeremy Lin. In the first matchup Galloway did not have a big impact, getting outplayed by Lin. We discussed how if Galloway could cut the gap this time around, it would help the Knicks, and that is exactly what he did.

Galloway had a much bigger impact this time around, making clutch baskets and playing some solid defense. Galloway has been showing off his improved three-point shot all season, and tonight was no different. He had 3-of-5 from deep, adding four rebounds, five assists and one steal. It was a great game, and he helped slow down Lin.

Lin had a good game still, but it wasn’t as impactful as the first time around. Lin was 4-of-9 from the field for 13 points, adding five rebounds and three assists. While that is a solid showing, he was slowed down more tonight than in the first meeting, and it helped the Knicks get the victory.

Galloway continues to improve as a player, and has become a fixture in the lineup, even closing out games where he was able to keep Lin in check.
