The New York Knicks will be facing off with the Charlotte Hornets for the second time in less than a week tonight. This time the game will be played at Madison Square Garden, as the Knicks will look to avenge their 95-93 loss they suffered. That was a tough ending for the Knicks, as Kristaps Porzingis’ three-point attempt at the buzzer went in, but the referees waved it off after a review. They are hoping that a review will not be needed this time and that they can handle business at home.
The Knicks will be looking to get back to the .500 mark, as they reached it a week ago but lost their next two games. The Hornets, meanwhile, will be looking to get over .500 for the first time this season, as they have gone 5-2 since a rough 0-3 start to their season.
This is another important game for the Knicks, as the Hornets are one team that will be battling it out with them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Picking up wins against teams like this is important, and after losing to them last week it is imperative that the Knicks pick up a victory tonight.

The struggles the Knicks have had at MSG have been well documented, as they have gone 2-4 on their home court. Coincidentally, that is also the record that the Hornets have on the road, as they have struggled away from Time Warner Cable Arena. This is a good opportunity for the Knicks to get things on track at home, where they need to improve their play if they are to continue improving this season.
The first time these two teams faced off, the game was an exciting one and went right down to the buzzer. Will that occur again this time around? If it does, hopefully it is the Knicks that are coming out on top with a late game win, not the other way around again.
If the Knicks want to avoid another disappointing outcome, there are some things they need to clean up from the first time they matched up. Check out our keys to the game for the Knicks when they host the Hornets tonight at Madison Square Garden at 7:30 PM ET.
