Sammy Watkins Dominates

Sammy Watkins has had a much maligned sophomore season. He has dealt with injuries, severely hampering his production. He has appeared in only five games, catching 19 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns; not exactly the production you would expect from the 4th overall pick from the 2014 NFL Draft.

Watkins even got into it with some fans on social media recently, which is never a good look. But he responded well in his last game, posting a career high 168 yards on eight receptions, adding one touchdown. He has had success against the Jets in his career, as his previous career high of 157 yards came against the Jets in his rookie season. Watkins will once again torment the Jets, and be the main target of Tyrod Taylor.

With the struggles that the Jets have had in their secondary, Watkins should find some room to operate. People would expect the Jets to have Darrelle Revis shadow Watkins, but even he struggled last week against the Jaguars; both Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson went for over 120 yards.

Watkins will continue that streak, as he will also surpass 100 yards receiving against the Jets, and give their secondary all they can handle.
