9.) New York Giants (5-4)
Jason Pierre-Paul made his return to the Giants in Week 9, and the Giants’ defense looked better after a few down weeks due to injuries. It was another good game for Odell Beckham Jr., as he totaled nine receptions and 105 receiving yards. Having Pierre-Paul back will help the Giants’ defense as they look to maintain their lead in the NFC East.
8.) New York Jets (5-3)
It wasn’t pretty for the Jets in Week 9, but it was a much-needed win against the Jaguars. Ryan Fitzpatrick was able to play with the torn ligaments in his thumb, and also played fairly well. In the win, Fitzpatrick totaled 272 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. The Jets’ rushing attack and defense haven’t played well in two straight weeks and that is certainly a concern moving forward.
7.) Green Bay Packers (6-2)
The Packers are now losers of two straight games against probable division winners in the NFL, and there is some concern in Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers bounced back from his dreadful game against the Broncos with a much better performance. In the loss, Rodgers totaled 369 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. Green Bay’s defense has been officially exposed in recent weeks, and they need to figure out something to fix that unit.
