The White Sox came into the 2015 season with some expectations to succeed, but an offense that struggled really held them back. Chicago is set at first base and DH with Adam LaRoche and Jose Abreu, but second and third base could use improving in Chicago. Adding Murphy to the middle of the White Sox’s lineup can help give Abreu some needed protection, or a reliable guy to get on base in front of him. Murphy’s good bat and versatility in the infield could be a big piece for the White Sox to turn things around in 2016.

Chicago is a team that does have some money to spend, and they may very well take a long hard look at adding Murphy to improve multiple positions in 2016.
