12.) New Orleans Saints (4-4)

The Saints were able to win the most exciting game of Week 8 against the Giant by a score of 52-49. Drew Brees had an outstanding game, as he totaled 505 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns. The seven passing touchdowns tied the NFL record for Brees, as he has quieted all of the skeptics from earlier in the season. The Saints’ defense still needs to improve, but they aren’t done in the NFC South just yet.

11.) New York Jets (4-3)

The Jets had an awful week on the West Coast in Week 8, as they lost their second straight game. In the first quarter, the Jets lost their quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to a thumb injury, and it was Geno Smith who came in relief of Fitzpatrick. The Jets’ offense didn’t do awful with Smith in, as it was their defense that really disappointed in the 34-20 loss. It may end up being Bryce Petty as the Jets’ starting quarterback against the Jaguars in Week 9, as both Fitzpatrick and Smith are battling injuries.

10.) Atlanta Falcons (6-2)

It was another bad week of football for the Falcons in Week 8, as they now haven’t played good football in a month. Matt Ryan totaled nearly 400 yards passing, but he once again turned the ball over multiple times, which is clearly becoming a problem for the Falcons. The Falcons are still 6-2, but they are trending in the wrong direction as the season nears the midway point.
