The Mets are looking to end a World Series drought of 29 years, last winning in 1986, while the Royals are looking to snap one of 30 years, as they won the year before the Mets in 1985. Whose World Series drought will end in 2015? It will not be a popular pick, but we are picking the Royals to come out victorious.

The Royals were so close to taking home the title in 2014, and they will turn that opportunity and experience into a title in 2015. They hit power pitchers extremely well, something that will be a huge help against the Mets, who throw more 95+MPH pitches than anyone in baseball.

The Royals will become the first team since the 1989 Oakland Athletics to win the World Series the year after they lost the World Series, while the Mets will continue the trend of teams to sweep the LCS not having success in the World Series; six of the last seven teams to sweep the LCS have lost the World Series, with the 1995 Atlanta Braves being the only team to sweep and then win the World Series.

It will be a fun series, as the Mets and Royals are both hungry to bring a championship to their city and fan base. Kansas City will be that city this year, as the Royals will bring home the World Series in six games.
