Daniel Murphy’s postseason has been one of the most memorable ones in the history of baseball. He has put himself into both the Mets and MLB postseason record books, as he has hit a home run in six consecutive games. Seeing if that streak continues will be a reason some people tune in, and we are predicting that it does.

Murphy will hit a home run in enough games for his streak to reach double-digits, knocking one over the fence in the first four games of the series. The Royals have given up 15 home runs in 11 postseason games, which is a bit out of character for a team that gave up the 10th least amount of home runs during the regular season. Facing off with the power hitting Blue Jays may have had something to do with that, but they are giving them up nonetheless and Murphy is hitting them out.

Ryan Madsen has been the most vulnerable to the deep ball during the postseason, and as a late inning option for the Royals, he is someone Murphy is bound to run into a couple of times in the series. Johnny Cueto has also struggled containing the deep ball in the postseason, and he will be starting Game 2 of the series.

Murphy is a big reason the Mets are in the World Series, and he will continue producing despite the lengthy layoff between games.
