So there you have it. Out of the six categories we looked at, we gave the advantage to the Royals four times, and the Mets two. That would give the Royals an advantage in this series, but those numbers could have easily been split down the middle.

The Mets possess the better starting rotation, but once the starting pitchers are out of the game, the advantage quickly swings in the Royals direction. The different parts of the pitching staff are the respective strengths for both teams, as we could see some low scoring games.

The lineups differ in the foundations of how they were built, but both have gotten the job done. The Mets were able to pick up their offense in the second half of the regular season, and score enough to beat out the high powered young hitters of the Chicago Cubs. The Royals did enough to keep up at the plate with the highest scoring offense in baseball in the Blue Jays in the ALCS, not a small task by any means.

This is a series that will be hard fought and close throughout. The judging of the advantages shows that, as some were very tough to decide upon. While the Royals hold the advantage in our opinion in the series, does that mean we have them winning the series?
