Some people may question how the coaching staff could get such a good grade with how the game turned out, but they deserve it. They came into the game with a number of important players being injured, and lost more during the game.

It was a gutsy, hard earned win for everyone from the players to the coaching staff. They overcame emotions and injuries to pull out an important victory over the 49ers. Tom Coughlin should be extremely proud of his staff and team for pulling out the win despite the injuries they were facing heading into the game and ones suffered during it.

Sure it was disappointing to see them allowing the 49ers offense to get going, but how many teams would be successful using third-stringers on both sides of the ball not only in certain packages but for large portions of the game. The coaching staff deserves credit for having their players ready, as even guys who were signed late in the week found themselves on the field during important moments.

The Giants should feel good about this win and what it means; first place in the NFC East. The job is obviously far from over though, as they have an important stretch of games coming up, starting in Week 6 against their NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles.
