6. Toronto Blue Jays (93-69)

MVP: Josh Donaldson
Cy Young: Marco Estrada
Biggest Disappointment: Bullpen

The Blue Jays offense is a well oiled machine led by AL MVP favorite Donaldson. It was a steal to get him from the Athletics, as Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Bautista joined him in smacking at least 39 home runs and 111 RBI. David Price and Marcus Stroman will probably be the one-two punch in the postseason, but Estrada has been the one there from April before the Blue Jays got rolling. The bullpen is much improved with Roberto Osuna as the closer and LaTroy Hawkins and Mark Lowe acquired at the deadline, but it was the weakest part of the team throughout the season for the Blue Jays. But, it has been much improved throughout the season.

5. Los Angeles Dodgers (92-70)

MVP: Adrian Gonzalez
Cy Young: Zack Greinke
Biggest Disappointment: Back End Of The Rotation

The Dodgers lineup has been dealt a number of blows via injury this season, but one guy who has been there all season is Gonzalez. He had a great season in the middle of a Dodgers lineup that struggled to produce consistently during the regular season. It was masked at times though as their 1A and 1B Cy Young winners Greinke and Clayton Kershaw dominated throughout the season as the strongest one-two punch in baseball. But, that’s about all the Dodgers have in their rotation, as they have been unable to find people to plug into the three, four and five slots in their rotation. If they can find a third for the playoffs they will be tough to beat. Yasiel Puig was also in the running for most disappointing this season.

4. Kansas City Royals (95-67)

MVP: Lorenzo Cain
Cy Young: Wade Davis
Biggest Disappointment: Johnny Cueto

Cain was the most consistent performer for the Royals lineup this season that had a bounce back performance from Kendrys Morales, with Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas both taking steps forward. Davis was dominant once again at the end of games, while the starting rotation had some bumps along the way. Cueto they traded for at the deadline but he has not been the ace they were hoping for, as the Royals have some problems to overcome if they wish to reach the World Series again.
