21. Chicago White Sox (73-83) Jeff Samardzija had his best start of the season, which was a strong bounce back after he gave up 10 runs in his previous outing. It made for an awkward postgame interview when he did no€™t appreciate being asked questions about the abomination of a start prior to the one hit gem. It was just another example of what Samardzija is capable of, and why he could get a $100 million contract this offseason. The White Sox may not be that place though, as it is clear they need to get more consistent offensive production, and that should be where their funds go this offseason.

20. San Diego Padres (73-83) The Padres played a little bit of a spoiler role this past week, taking two of three from the Giants to severely hamper their playoff chances. They were in thrilling fashion as well, as both of the wins came by a 5-4 score with a walkoff. Jedd Gyorko has been solid recently, hitting much better as the season has come closer to an end. Also, Matt Kemp may be having one of the most under the radar seasons, as he could finish with 25 home runs for the second straight season, while also knocking in 100 runs.

19. Tampa Bay Rays (75-81) The final road trip of the season for the Rays started off well, as they took three-of-four from the Red Sox. But then they ran into the machine that i€™s the Blue Jays and got swept. They will have a chance at some retribution in the final series of the season against the Blue Jays to play spoiler. Despite falling short in the playoff race, this was a solid season for the Rays who look to have found some players that figure to be mainstays in their lineup and some arms to go with Chris Archer on the pitching staff.
