3. Toronto Blue Jays (90-65) The Blue Jays just keep chugging along. They handled business against the Yankees, taking two of three in that series to mostly wrap up the AL East. They followed it up with a sweep of the Rays, as the Blue Jays are not only looking like the AL East winners, but potentially having the playoffs go through Toronto. They are tied with the Royals for the best record in the AL, so there is still plenty to play for. It will not be handed to them though, as AL East rival Orioles and Rays are sure to not lay down. This team is extremely dangerous though as their offense can win them a game, but they now also have multiple arms that could as well in David Price, Marcus Stroman, Marco Estrada and R.A. Dickey. Also, as if the offense needed a boost, Troy Tulowitzki looks to be improving after cracking his shoulder and badly bruising his back.

2. Pittsburgh Pirates (95-61) The Jung-Ho Kang injury is not be an easy one to overcome, but the Pirates just kept right on going after he was taken out against the Cubs. They actually did quite a bit of winning after that, reeling off eight straight wins before losing on Sunday Night Baseball to the Cubs. But, with the winning streak the Pirates have kept the possibility open of overtaking the Cardinals in the NL Central. The two will face off in a series this week and if the Pirates can pull off a sweep, the division will come down to this weekend. It would be huge for the Pirates to avoid Jake Arrieta in a Wild Card game, instead having the playoffs go through PIttsburgh an enabling them to set up their rotation with Gerrit Cole and Francisco Liriano at the top.

1. St. Louis Cardinals (98-58) This is the most heat the Cardinals have felt in a long time in the standings, as the Pirates are breathing down their neck in the NL Central race. The Cardinals have been the leaders in MLB throughout the season, but as we head into the last week of the regular season to prepare for the playoffs, they are arguably one of the weakest. A reason for that is the loss of Carlos Martinez, who is out for the season with a shoulder injury. They have a huge road trip to end the week, starting in Pittsburgh which will be a deciding factor in the division.
