6.) Ryan Strome
Another one of the young Islanders to shine last season was 22-year-old Ryan Strome. Last season, Strome totaled 50 points with 17 goals and 33 assists. Strome’s 50 points last season was third-best on the team, and he also led the team with a +23 +/- ratio on the ice.
In the 2015-16 season, Strome is preparing to play a lot more at winger, as he will likely be on the second line with Frans Nielsen and Brock Nelson. Strome was a big part of the successful “Kid Line” last season that sparked a lot of fun for Islanders fans with him Brock Nelson, and Anders Lee. Strome is a proven play-maker already after just two seasons in the NHL.
