7.) Anders Lee
There were a lot of impact rookies in the 2014-15 season, as players like Mark Stone, Johnny Gaudreau, and Filip Forsberg, who all saw instant success in the NHL. The Islanders also had one of last year’s impact rookies in Anders Lee.
After a cup of tea with the Islanders in the years previous to last, Lee became a fixture on the team last season. Lee was ranked seventh in points and fourth in goals among a good rookie class, as the Islanders look to have another young talented player.
Last season, Lee totaled 41 points with 25 goals and 16 assists, as he was very much involved in the Rookie of the Year award conversation for a good chunk of last season.
