Week 2 of the NFL season has come and gone and now it’s time to update our NFL Power Rankings.
With two weeks of football in the books, we are better able to gauge what teams are playing well after a few flukes in Week 1. There are a few surprising teams that have yet to win a game, and that will hurt them in the NFL Power Rankings.
Let’s take a look at the Week 2 NFL Power Rankings starting with the Chicago Bears in the dreaded 32nd spot.
32.) Chicago Bears (0-2)
The Chicago Bears have dropped to the dreaded 32nd spot in the NFL Power Rankings after a home loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Bears have played two good teams in the first two weeks of the season, but they haven’t looked good.
In the loss to the Cardinals, Jay Cutler suffered an injury early on in the game that led to Jimmy Clausen coming into the game. As expected, Clausen didn’t do much in relief of Cutler, but the Bears allowing 48 points as a team is not going to win many games.
31.) New York Giants (0-2)
There have been two weeks in the NFL season and there have been two awful losses by the Giants. For the second straight week, the Giants blew a 10-point lead. A costly fumble by Eli Manning in the red zone with a chance to extend the Giants’ lead really came back to hurt them.
Odell Beckham Jr. had a monster game against the Falcons, but there wasn’t much help other than Shane Vereen for the Giants’ offense. The Giants could very well be 2-0 this season, but they are making rookie mistakes with a veteran quarterback and coach which is unacceptable.
