12.) Atlanta Falcons (1-0)
The Atlanta Falcons were one of the teams in the offseason that saw a change in coaches. The Falcons’ new head coach Dan Quinn was the defensive coordinator for the great Seahawks defense, and in Week 1 he was able to beat one of the great offensive minds in the game with the win against the Eagles.
Julio Jones was unstoppable against the Eagles defense, as for the second straight year he dominated on Monday Night Football.
11.) St. Louis Rams (1-0)
For the second time in as many years, the Rams were able to defeat the Seahawks at home. With Nick Foles now leading the Rams, St. Louis was able to win 34-31 in overtime. Foles played well in his debut with the Rams, as he totaled 297 passing yards and one passing touchdown. Foles did lose two fumbles which are something that can’t happen in the future, but defeating the Seahawks is an impressive first win of the season.
Without Todd Gurley and Tre Mason, Benny Cunningham stepped up against a great Seahawks’ defense and had over 100 total yards.
10.) Cincinnati Bengals (1-0)
The Cincinnati Bengals did what they almost always do in the regular season, as they beat up on a bad team. Andy Dalton played another good regular season game, as he totaled 269 passing yards and two touchdown passes.
Tyler Eifert is now the starting tight end in Cincinnati, and he played excellent by totaling nine reception, 104 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns. While it is good to handle business against poor teams, the Bengals also have to know that it is what they do in the playoffs that they will be judged on.
9.) Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)
The Chiefs needed to improve their offense in 2015, and after one-week things are looking much better on the offensive side of the ball. The Chiefs were able to score 27 points on the road against the Houston Texans in a Week 1 win.
One of the big moves of the offseason was the Chiefs acquiring wide receiver Jeremy Maclin. In his debut with the Chiefs, Maclin totaled five receptions and 52 receiving yards, but the passing offense looked a lot better. Alex Smith totaled 243 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. Tight end Travis Kelce had a great season-opener, as he totaled six receptions, 102 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns.
