28.) Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1)
The Jacksonville Jaguars had a tough start to the season at home, as they were defeated by the Carolina Panthers by a score of 20-9.
Jaguars’ quarterback Blake Bortles didn’t play well to start his sophomore season in the loss. Against the Panthers, Bortles totaled 183 passing yards, one touchdown pass, two interceptions, and a 25.4 QBR.
Most of the questions about the Jaguars coming into this season was on the defensive side of the ball, but they did well against the Panthers’ offense. The Jaguars need Bortles to play better in 2015 if they want to begin to turn the corner as a franchise in 2015.
27.) Chicago Bears (0-1)
The first of likely many losses this happened for the Bears in Week 1, as they lost by eight at home to the Green Bay Packers. Jay Cutler once again struggled despite the Bears getting a monster game from Matt Forte, who totaled 141 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, five receptions, and 25 receiving yards.
Alshon Jeffery was able to play despite being injured all week, and he performed well by totaling five receptions and 78 receiving yards.
It is becoming more and more apparent that Cutler is just simply not a good quarterback anymore.
26.) Minnesota Vikings (0-1)
The Minnesota Vikings were one of the teams in the NFC that was picked by many to make a jump into the playoffs in 2015.
After missing all but one game in 2014, Adrian Peterson made his return to the field against the San Francisco 49ers, but he was a non-factor in the loss. Peterson shockingly only had 10 carries and 31 rushing yards in an ugly 20-3 loss.
Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater also had a poor game, as the Vikings’ offense looked like a mess in Week 1.
25.) New York Giants (0-1)
The New York Giants looked like they were well on their way to a win against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, but poor decisions down the stretch cost them the game. The Giants had three chances to take a 10-point lead against the Cowboys or at the very least kick a field goal and take time off the clock.
On the final drive, the Giants shockingly threw an incomplete pass on a third and goal which kept an additional 40 seconds on the clock for Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense to go down the field and score a game-winning touchdown.
It was an awful loss for the Giants with the mistakes down the stretch and it will be tough to rebound from it.
