– Ivory runs wild

The biggest advantage that the Jets have in this game on paper is on the ground. The Jets were ranked third in the NFL last season in total team rushing yards, and the Browns’ defense was ranked dead last at stopping the run.

Last season, Chris Ivory was solid for the Jets, as he totaled 821 rushing yards, six rushing touchdowns, and a 4.1 yards per carry average. Part of the reason Ivory didn’t get as many touches as he probably deserved with Chris Johnson on the team. The Jets let Johnson go this offseason, and it appears that Ivory should be the featured back.

One of the main criticisms of Ivory was that he wasn’t a good pass-catcher. This offseason, he made it a priority to improve on that and to be hopefully the every-down running back.

Ivory has strong backups behind him with Zac Stacy and Bilal Powell, but it should be Ivory reaping the benefits of the extra carries on his way to a big game.

Prediction: 120 rushing yards, one touchdown
