The Giants’ defense might be an issue all season for them.

On the Bengals’ opening drive, the Giants’ defense did very little to stop Andy Dalton and the Bengals on their way down the field.

The Giants’ defense was hurt by having the Bengals start in great position, but they didn’t put up much of a fight. Dalton started off his preseason with a 12-yard pass to Tyler Eifert, which put the Bengals in Giants territory. Jeremy Hill would then have a 10-yard rush on the Bengals’ first running play of the game. Dalton would then complete a pass to A.J. Green for his only reception of the game which was good for 16 yards.

Dalton and Hill would each run it one more time for a total of nine yards, and then the Bengals scored on a touchdown pass from Dalton to Mohamed Sanu.

The Bengals’ first-team offense, only need one series against the Giants to satisfy their head coach Marvin Jones.

For the Giants’ defense, it was a huge letdown to see the Bengals go right down the field for a touchdown on the first series of the preseason.
