While the Rockies will have their top pitching prospect on display in the series Monday, the Mets will have theirs going in the series finale Thursday. Noah Syndergaard will be making his 17th career start, and he will be happy that it is not on the road in Coors Field.

Syndergaard has solid stats with a 3.01 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and more than a strikeout an inning. But, on the road, Syndergaard has been downright awful, pitching to a 5.01 ERA and going winless in eight starts. Unfortunately for the Rockies, and fortunately for the Mets, his start this week will be at Citi Field, where he dominants opponents.

In eight career starts at Citi Field, Syndergaard has video game type stats, going 6-1 in eight starts with a 1.57 ERA in 57 ⅓ innings pitched. He also has 60 strikeouts and only six walks over that span, as hitters are batting only .196 against him at home. That dominance will continue against the Rockies, whose splits are drastically different on the road and at home.

On the road they are much worse, and it is something Syndergaard and the Mets will take advantage of. He will overpower the Rockies on Thursday afternoon, as his numbers are even better during the day. In three daytime starts, Syndergaard is 2-0 with a 0.98 ERA.

Those numbers will all increase after his start Thursday, as he will improve him home record to 7-1 and the Mets will pick up the victory. Syndergaard will breeze through seven innings, reaching double-digit strikeouts, just ripping through an overmatched Rockies lineup.
