27. Philadelphia Phillies (45-67) The Phillies may have lost two of three to the Dodgers to start the week, but a sweep of the Padres over the weekend still means they have one of the best records since the All-Star break at 15-5. While they may have lost the series to the Phillies, they should take something away from scoring more runs off Zack Greinke than he allowed all July, handing him his worst start of the season. While they are clearly out of the playoff race, it is encouraging to see them still fighting and winning games; it gives the fans a nice glimpse into what may be in the future. The Phillies will continue their road trip and look to keep the winning ways going against the Diamondbacks and Brewers this upcoming week.

26. Cincinnati Reds (49-60) The Reds are just waiting for the end of the season to come, as they netted quite the package for the arms they traded off. We can start to see them in the coming weeks as the Reds begin evaluating players they want to keep as pieces next season. David Holmberg has been a pleasant surprise since being called up as one of the replacements for Johnny Cueto and Mike Leake. Will that success continue when the Reds keep going along their road trip, making stops in San Diego against the Padres and Los Angeles to face the Dodgers.

25. San Diego Padres (52-60) Owners of the longest losing streak currently in baseball at six games is the Padres. What makes it worse is that it was against teams lower in the standings in the Brewers and Phillies; teams the Padres should beat. They now are sitting 11 games out of a Wild Card spot, as they look more and more foolish for not making trades at the deadline to try and restock a barren farm system. Justin Upton and Ian Kennedy, both free agents at the end of the season, could have netted them a nice package in return; could they look to move those players if they pass through waivers?
