– Dickey continues to look good

Part of the reason for the Blue Jays turning things around has been the turnaround of R.A. Dickey. The Blue Jays acquired the former NL Cy Young from the New York Mets a few seasons ago, but he hasn’t found his form up north. The price to acquire Dickey was very steep for the Blue Jays, as they had to part ways with Travis d’Arnaud and Noah Syndergaard, who are both a big parts of the Mets now.

After an awful start to the season, Dickey has pitched much better in his last five games. In his last five starts, Dickey has allowed on five earned runs total. In his last two starts, Dickey has been even better, as he hasn’t allowed a run in 15 innings. The teams that Dickey has pitched well against aren’t the scariest of offensive clubs, but in his most recent outing, he shut down the Kansas City Royals.

Dickey has seemingly found his groove in the last month, and now he will look to continue that against a great Yankees lineup.
