27. Colorado Rockies (44-59) The Rockies pulled off the stunner of the trade deadline, moving franchise cornerstone shortstop Troy Tulowitzki to the Blue Jays for a package centered around Jose Reyes. It was the only trade that the Rockies made at the deadline despite rampant rumors surrounding Carlos Gonzalez and the Rockies potentially flipping Reyes. It didn’t happen though, as the Rockies will now begin the post-Tulowitzki era in their franchise. Watch for the Rockies to try trading more pieces in the winter when they will have more teams lining up for players such as Gonzalez.

26. Boston Red Sox (47-59) Talk about a disappointing team. The Red Sox looked poised to climb into not only the AL Wild Card race, but AL East race as well heading into the All-Star break. But, a series loss to the Yankees heading into the All-Star break put them in a tailspin and they didn’t recover. They lost the first seven games of the second half, essentially ending their season. Losing three of four to the White Sox this week cemented that fact, as the Red Sox are firmly on the list as biggest disappointments for the 2015 season.

25. Atlanta Braves (47-58) The Braves were part of a massive three-team, 13-player trade that was kind of surprising to see. The Braves traded Alex Wood, Jim Johnson, Alex Avilan, Bronson Arroyo and prospect Jose Peraza. That is a lot of assets to move with the main piece coming back being 30-year old Cuban defector Hector Olivera from the Dodgers in addition to Paco Rodriguez and Zach Bird. The Braves shipping out that kind of young talent was definitely surprising to see as they are rebuilding their roster. But, Olvera has a chance to be an impact bat for them in the middle of their order; the price just seems to be a bit steep. Prior to that trade, they also helped legitimize the Mets trading them Kelly Johnson and Juan Uribe.
