12. Toronto Blue Jays (43-41) It was a tough week for the Blue Jays, as they only won two games. Their offense was slowed a little bit by the Red Sox to start the week, but even when they got going the pitching staff couldn’t perform. This team is desperate for a leader on the pitching staff, and should be in rumors with every top pitcher that is available, including Johnny Cueto and Cole Hamels. Both of those pitchers, and anyone the Blue Jays can acquire, will love pitching with the backing of that offense, including record breaking All-Star vote getter Josh Donaldson.

11. Minnesota Twins (43-39) The Twins went 3-4 this past week, losing a series to the Reds and splitting a four gamer with the Royals. They got Ervin Santana back from his suspension this week, and he delivered exactly what they were hoping for when they signed him, pitching eight innings and surrendering only two runs against the Royals. He will provide a big boost for the second half, but could they look to bring in more additions? The Twins are playing better than expected, so does that mean they will try and add something at the trade deadline?

10. Baltimore Orioles (43-39) The Orioles had a tough week, as their hitting and pitching were unable to get clicking. They gave up a ton of homers against the Rangers, and then the offense disappeared against the White Sox over the weekend. They have a big series against the Twins to start the week that will have Wild Card implications before finishing the first half with the interstate series against the Nationals. The Orioles could use another starting pitcher though, as Bud Norris hasn’t cut it and Chris Tillman has struggled as well.
