– Beltran heats up
It has been an up and down season for Carlos Beltran so far, but against the Tigers he showed off his power.
In the Yankees’ rout in Game 2 of the series, Beltran hit two homeruns, one from each side of the plate. Beltran now has seven homeruns on the season, and three in the last three games that he played.
Beltran didn’t hit a homerun in his dreadful month of April, so it’s good to see him beginning to show some power.
Moving forward, Beltran is a very important part of this Yankees’ lineup, as they need him to continue to produce after the middle of the order.
On Sunday, Beltran was given a day off, but the multi-homerun game on Saturday night was a great sign for the Yankees.
