– Didi shows his muscle

It has been a rough first season in the Bronx for Didi Gregorius, but as of recently things are starting to turn around.

Gregorius got off to a poor start in the field, which certainly didn’t help his confidence at the plate. When the Yankees traded for Gregorius, they knew he wouldn’t provide much as a hitter, but in the series against the Tigers he showed his muscle.

In Game 1 of the series, Gregorius hit his third homerun of the season, and then in Game 2 he hit his fourth homerun of the season.

Gregorius has been at the bottom of the Yankees’ order all season, but in the series finale Joe Girardi had him in the two-hole. Any offense from Gregorius is a bonus for the Yankees, and he helped them win the first two games of the series.
