– Didi shows his muscle
It has been a rough first season in the Bronx for Didi Gregorius, but as of recently things are starting to turn around.
Gregorius got off to a poor start in the field, which certainly didn’t help his confidence at the plate. When the Yankees traded for Gregorius, they knew he wouldn’t provide much as a hitter, but in the series against the Tigers he showed his muscle.
In Game 1 of the series, Gregorius hit his third homerun of the season, and then in Game 2 he hit his fourth homerun of the season.
Gregorius has been at the bottom of the Yankees’ order all season, but in the series finaleJoe Girardihad him in the two-hole. Any offense from Gregorius is a bonus for the Yankees, and he helped them win the first two games of the series.
