Easily the best quarterback in the history of the Jets is the polarizing Joe Namath. The Jets have only one Super Bowl win, and it was none other than Namath who guaranteed the win. Namath would follow up his guarantee in the third Super Bowl, and changed the landscape of the NFL.

Statistically, Namath’s stats aren’t very good, but that doesn’t stop him from being the best Jets’ quarterback of all-time.

In 12 seasons with the Jets, Namath totaled a 60-61-4 record, 27,057 passing yards, 170 passing touchdowns, and 215 interceptions. Namath was a big reason for football becoming more of a pass-orientated game, as he was a gunslinger.

Other quarterbacks have had better stats than Namath on the Jets, but he is their leader in passing touchdowns, passing yards, and wins.

Namath will likely be the Jets’ best quarterback of all-time for a long time, as he created a memorable legacy.
