This playoffs for the Rangers has a very familiar feel to last year’s. Last season, Lundqvist had to play great, the offense was poor, and the Rangers made the Stanley Cup.
One mistake by the Rangers in the second-round may have been that they took the Washington Capitals too lightly. In the Eastern Conference Finals, that mistake won’t be made. The Lightning were one of the few teams in the NHL this season to have success against the Rangers.
In three games, the Lightning defeated the Rangers each time, and did it rather easily. The Lightning beat the Rangers by scores of 5-1, 4-3, and 6-3 this season.
It was early in the season, but the Lightning did have success against Lundqvist and the Rangers.
In the Eastern Conference Finals with everything on the line, Lundqvist and the Rangers will be victorious against the Lightning. It won’t be easy, but the Rangers will defeat the Lightning in seven games to advance to the Stanley Cup.
