In the last few drafts the Cowboys have built the best offensive line in football. Now it will be time for the Cowboys to begin to address the defensive line.

One of the most shocking things last season was that the Cowboys’ defense wasn’t historically bad like many thought. Just because statistically they played alright doesn’t mean there aren’t issues. Building in the trenches seems to be the Cowboys’ way about drafting now, and with the 27th pick they should select defensive tackle Eddie Goldman.

Goldman will not be much of a pass-rusher in the NFL, but he could be a dominant run-stuffer for Dallas. He has the size to be a nose-tackle at 6’4”, 320lbs, and for Dallas would be a great fit.

In three seasons at Florida St, Goldman totaled 62 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and six sacks. Drafting Goldman will help the Cowboys slow down their former running back DeMarco Murray, who is now part of the Eagles.

The Denver Broncos have had one of the better offensive lines in the NFL since Peyton Manning arrived. With Manning’s career coming to an end, it will be even more imperative to protect him. The Broncos’ offensive line only allowed 17 sacks last season, and they also became a great run-blocking unit.

Going into 2015, the Broncos will have a battle at center between Manny Ramirez and Gino Gradowski. With poor play from the center position, the Broncos should look to find the answer to their problem in the NFL Draft.

With the 28th pick, the Broncos should select center Cameron Erving. He is a converted defensive tackle, and still has a lot of room to improve. Having Manning teach him the ropes would help turn Erving into a great center.
