6. Chicago Cubs (10-7) The youth movement continues in Chicago as top shortstop prospect Addison Russell has followed Kris Bryant to the show. He has struggled at the dish thus far, striking out 12 times in 22 at-bats, but came through big time Sunday with three RBI to help the Cubs knock off the Reds. Bryant has yet to hit a home run, but he is getting it done with a .333/.476/.455 slashline.

5. Los Angeles Dodgers (11-7) The Dodgers had a tough start to the week, getting swept by the Giants in San Francisco. They recovered though, taking two of three in San Diego over the weekend. The Dodgers have some concerns though, as Brandon McCarthy is experiencing tightness in his elbow, and Yasiel Puig is already on the DL. They will be looking to exact some revenge on the Giants this coming week prior to going up against the Diamondbacks.

4. St. Louis Cardinals (12-5) The Cardinals went into Washington and handled business against the Nationals to start the week, losing only the opener in extra innings. The next two games they won rather easily, and then took the first two against the Brewers before losing on Sunday. They received some season-altering news over the weekend though, as ace Adam Wainwright could be sidelined for the season with an Achilles’ injury.
